Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020618 BuildID: 2002061808 When I click on a PDF attachment in an email [with the Adobe plugin installed], it opens it in the email window, replacing the body of the email. This has two disadvantages; 1) The window is too small, and can't be made big enough with all the other stuff round about it. 2) How the heck do you get your email body back again afterwards?! (well, you have to click on another email, then back to the original again). Reproducible: Mostly Steps to Reproduce: 1. Receive an email with a PDF attachment 2 [details] [diff] [review]. Double-click the attachment Actual Results: Sometimes if you are lucky, it will open in an existing browser window, but usually, or if there isn't a browser window open, it will replace the message body with the pdf document. Expected Results: Should have opened the pdf document in a NEW browser window (my pet hate is when Moz re-uses windows that I had left on a specific page to refer back to!), and it should have left the message body intact as it was. I can't think of any case where a pdf attachment should NOT open in a new browser window when you click it as PDFs are normally written for printing on A4 or Letter sized paper, and thus need a big window to see properly). Only workaround is to save it, and open the pdf in Acrobat itself which defeats the purpose of the plugin. Thanks for an excellent product. Mozilla is nearly perfect now.

Uhm, I think this bug should have been marked as a dup of 110729 and not of 76416, because that latter bug is itself marked as resolved/duplicate of 110729.
