XPC shell testdebugging works with the new about:debugging, but there are a few things we can improve.

From Mark's feedback:

  • runnning an xpc shell test with --jsdebugger still advertises for the connect page (https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/testing/xpcshell/head.js#437-444)
  • we show a backward compat warning when connecting to xpcshell
  • you need to pref on processes debugging to see what you are interested in. Maybe always show processes if we detect we are targeting xpcshell
  • header of about:devtools-toolbox looks broken
