  • Camera permission doorhanger is displayed again

Actual result

  • Camera permission doorhanger isn't displayed and the previous "Don't allow" option is active

Regression range

  • This issue is not a regression

Additional notes

  • After restarting the Firefox doorhanger is displayed again.

This is not related to bug 1524665, but to the web page that implements the camera stuff, which is orthogonal to the Firefox button.

The behaviour from the browser is as expected. I guess the web page could provide a more detailed error when getUserMedia rejects with NotAllowedError, and show an error along the lines of "You need to allow us to use the camera" .

No longer blocks: 1524665
Summary: Camera doorhanger is not displayed if don't allow option was chosen previously → No clear user feedback when user doesn't allow camera access to set account picture
Component: Firefox Accounts → Server: Firefox Accounts
Product: Firefox → Cloud Services

This is expected behavior of Firefox. If you look in the URL bar you'll see the temporary permission modification. There is also a clearer error on the page now the second time you go back. Closing this as wontfix as it's intended. Thanks.
