:dkl, can you fix this on bugzilla-dev.allizom.org to unblock Kohei.

The only way to fix this is to remove the field altogether and recreate it from scratch due to the way single and multi select values are stored. You cannot just switch the type. Or we can rename the old one to something else and create a new one with the old name.
