Steps to reproduce:

  1. I created a new account through Github, my username defaults to my email address.
  2. I created a bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1549219
  3. I changed my username.

Actual results:

The people section of the bug still shows my old username when collapsed.

It seems I had some misunderstanding. Nevertheless, it is confusing to show different reporter names when the People section is collapsed vs expanded.

Yes, it’s confusing as you said. Some portions display your nick name, while others show your real name. We are going to use more nick names as seen on GitHub. But we don’t have the nick name filed in the User Preferences page yet 😆 In the meantime, you can set your nick name by changing your real name like Qianyue You [:Qian].
