This is a follow up for bug 1546513

Even if we improved the panel closing time DAMP/Talos are not reporting any significant improvement.

This might be because the complicated test doesn't execute enough requests (it only uses 280 requests). It should execute rather around 1000-2000 requests to track the closing time.
