Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:67.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/67.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Checked: Clear history when Firefox closes. All boxes checked.
  2. Close browser.
  3. Examine webappsstore.sqlite

Actual results:

Contains data

Expected results:

Should be empty.

Note: manually clearing history, clears the entries in webappsstore.sqlite

Further note: Checking "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" clears the webappsstore.sqlite file on exit, but this is incompatible with third party cookie handling add-ons. It's also inconsistent behavior in relation to the above settings.

Further note 2: this issue causes the error "another instance of Firefox is already running" when you try to exit and restart.

Component: Untriaged → Data Sanitization
Product: Firefox → Toolkit

Does this reproduce in Nightly and/or on a clean profile?

Can you elaborate further? Are you saying that we are removing add-on data when clearing site data on exit?

What? I don't understand. Can you share a video of this?

Deleted profile and started clean. Does not seem to be an issue now.

I'm closing this bug for now.

Thanks Johann
