This seems like a recent regression, IIRC it used to work properly.

The items being cut off is an intentional behaviour, because Firefox supported CSS -webkit-line-clamp only 2 weeks ago on the Nightly channel. The third line should not be displayed, however. I’ll fix the regression as part of Bug 1552885. Thanks!
