From Bugzilla Helper:

I see this problem quite a bit on slashdot, due to the layout of the page. If a
long word or a URL is next to an image, and I make the browser window too
narrow, I can get the word or part of the URL to overlap other text and/or
images. If I resize the browser so the window isn't as narrow, the problem
usually goes away
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to slashdot.org
2. Find a posting with a long word, or a long URL next to a topic thumbnail
image. Usually the long words are part of their "from the XYZ dept." tag.
3. Play around with the width of the browser window. ~650 pixels wide will
usually cause the long word to overlap other text and cause URLs to overlap
images. Getting the URL to only overlap the text is a little harder. Note: my
display resolution is 1152x900.
4.
Actual Results: Text overlaps other text and images
Expected Results: Text should not overlap other text and images
I'm not sure if this is related to other overlapping text bugs, since I didn't
see any strange use of DIV or floats in the code for the webpage. I'll attach
some example screen shots.

The overlapping text is just under the words "from the".

In this case, the first word of a URL is overlapping the end of the previous
line of text. This is a little different than the case with text overlapping
text. In that case a very long word overlapped a short word. In this case,
the first word of the URL isn't very long. If it were regular text instead of
a URL, it would probably have be layed out correctly.

In this case, part of the text and URL is missing and part of it is overlapping
the image.

In this case, an entire line of text is missing.

I've attached three screen shots showing different overlapping text layout bugs,
and a fourth screen shot that shows a slightly different problem. In this case,
the text has disappeared completely. Highlighting the text does not make it
reappear. However, I do get all of the text, including the text that doesn't
show up in Mozilla, if I paste the selection into my editor.
