the scenario was this:

I downloaded the current NSSetupB.exe branch build from today
I uninstalled 7.0
I selected the .exe to install todays build
Selected to do a full install
The browser shortcut popped on the desktop and then the mail and aim shortcuts
I selected the mail shortcut and began to drag it to the trash, at that time,
the install dialog was indicating that Net2Phone was being installed and the
system froze

I had to reboot to get out of the freeze, when the desktop came back, it looked
as if the install was complete, but I didn't believe it

Hitting the Esc key likely helps if this happens again

Very old version (Netscape actually).

likely a dupe of modal dialog during drag causes hang

Installer causing whole Windows (98) to hang while dragging an icon from and to the Windows desktop ?
That would be a much worse case than bug 100180 !

Changing resolution from Duplicate to Incomplete.
