[Affected versions]:

  • Firefox latest Nightly 70.0a1 (2019-08-20) (64-bit)

[Affected Platforms]:

  • Mac 10.14
  • Windows 10 x64
  • Ubuntu 16.04 x64.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Open the latest Nightly browser with the profile from prerequisites.
  2. Navigate to "about:logins" page and type a string in the Search Bar.
  3. Observe the right part of the search bar.

[Expected result]:

  • The “x” button should be displayed.
    [Actual result]:
  • The “x” button is not displayed.

[Notes]:

  • The Lockwise extension has already implemented this button.
  • A clear button should be displayed on the Search Bar to make it easier for users to delete the string.

IMO we should use <input type=search> and the clear button should be implemented for all type=search in DOM code like Safari does.
