From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020610 BuildID: 2002061108 There is no caret in the popup find textbox; typing text produces no result. The cursor does change to a vertical bar, and mouse clicks do work. The same problem occurs in other popup textboxes, such as those used for password authentication of protected websites. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open "Edit/Find in this Page" menu item 2.Try to type text in box 3.(Mouse clicks/TABs do not affect result) Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: entered text in box Tried to use as vanilla an installation as possible, using a dummy home directory. No change.
WFM BuildID 2002071504/win2000 Reporter: think of some additional conditions you might've not reported? Maybe it happens only after working for a while, or right after launching the browser?

Duplicate of "twm or no wm: Cannot type into dialog text fields". See bug 78928 comment 39 for a way to make things work. This is actually in the release notes, but under "Irix" for some reason... :( *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 78928 *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 78928 ***
