Details
Firefox 70 is shipping the WebSocket inspector feature and we want to tell developers about it, (probably in 71, so we have time to land polish).
Constrains:
- The message should only be shown to developers, users who "recently" used DevTools.
- Clicking the message could open the Network panel, but we need a WebSocket in the page to actually show the WS inspector.
- Maybe we can show a page where the tool is onboarded and tried out (similar to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/developer/css-grid/ which was created for CSS Grid)
Happy to discuss more to nail down the details and refine further.
