User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0

Steps to reproduce:

Upgraded windows 10 to version 1903 on two PC's. Both X86 (60.9) and 64Bit (68.12) Thunderbird becomes (Not Responding) to any action

Actual results:

Not responding, freezes program and only allows for Wait or Quit.

Expected results:

Should have behaved as Thunderbird did before forced Windows Upgrade

What happens with Windows started in safemode?

What happens with Windows started in safemode?

Took me a while reported "failed to connect to server "IMAP gmail.com"
but it did download new messages, and Firefox has no problems.

What happens with Windows started in safemode?

Sorry for the delay, I'm mostly in MAC today
It happens in safe mode; Program goes dormant and reports 'Not Responsive'

so Not Responding is gone?

No, as of today it still freezes and reports 'Not Responding'.
I'm mostly in Mac on a dual boot Power Mac go to Windows mostly for Quicken.

Thunderbird runs OK on the Mac side?

Does problem change if you unusubscribe from the Gmail All Mail folder?

Problem seemed to be with a continuous need to download 150+ messages on startup in the "all mail folder" despite not having that much new gmail activity.
I was afraid to delete the "all mail" folder as it has information I need to retain.
I deleted the gmail account in TB/Windows and the problem went away and TB includes 4 other IMAP email accounts (which do not have "all mail").

Just a reminder I do not have a problem in Mac OS X's with gmail in smaller partitions.
My MacPro has 64Gb of Ram and two 6 core Intel Xeon Processors.

Thanks for the update. This is covered somewhere in another bug
