Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 Whilst editing a bookmarks description in the preferences dialog pressing enter will both create a new line in the description and close the dialog. Clearly the behaviour should be one or the other, not both. IMO something else (alt+enter perhaps) should start a new line, whilst enter by itself closes the dialog. This is the behaviour 1.0 gives on Windows ME, it may or may not be different for other platforms. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open preferences dialog for a bookmark. 2. Put the focus on the description box. 3. Push enter/return to create a new line and close the dialog. Actual Results: A new line was created in the description of the bookmark and the dialog was closed. Expected Results: Either a new line to be created or the dialog to close (mostly expected dialog to close), but not both.
I guess you mean the properties dialog?
Yes, meant to say the properties dialog. In any case someone pointed out that this is a duplicate of 113146. Although that bug suggests that the correct result of hitting 'enter' whilst in the multiline edit box should be to create a new line, I disagree as this breaks the dialog consistancy (anywhere else hitting enter will close the dialog).
