Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 There should be the option with tabbed browsing that when you "X" destroy a tab, it moves onto the next right tab, not the next left as it is now. In fact I think it should be the default personally. Reason: The most common use of tabbed browsing is to open a portal site, like say a newspaper. Then middle click a bunch of stories (with "load in backgroud" option naturally. One tends to start clicking with the most interesting stories first (the headlines typically) and work down to some less interesting stuff. And one wants to read the headlines first naturally. However the most convenient order to read tabbed windows right now is right to left. This is because you can just leave the mouse over the "X" and destroy the tabs one by one as they are read, and they are destroyed right to left. However this means reading stories in the least interesting first, most interesting last order which is annoying. The solution is to have the option (or the default) that when you click "X" the next default tab is the one to the right, not the one to the left. This allows the main newspaper tab to be the first tab, the main headline the second, down to the most minor story on the right. Then one can click the main headline (2nd tab) and leave the mouse over the "X" reading the stories in order from headline down to smallest story. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: . Good thinking. Must be why it's behaved this way on the trunk since early June. :) When reporting bugs or suggesting enhancements, please try to at least get the latest milestone build (Mozilla 1.1 Beta at this point), or preferably a recent nightly to make sure it hasn't been solved already. Development moves fast. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 123563 ***
