Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to: https://www.bbc.com/news/av/technology-50514026/tesla-cybertruck-elon-musk-s-new-vehicle-smashed-during-demo
  2. Play the video.

Expected Behavior:
The video is played.

Actual Behavior:
An infinite spinner is displayed.

Notes:

  1. Screenshot attached.
  2. Disabling ETP fixes the issue.

As I commented in the above github issue, BBC videos also aren't playing for me in desktop Firefox, for at last the last few weeks, unless I disable ETP

I've seen this issue in Canada with Tracking Protection (predecessor to ETP strict mode) for a couple of years at least.

FWIW, with no change on my part, BBC videos (e.g. https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-middle-east-51162899/lebanon-protests-anti-government-protesters-clash-with-police) are playing for me now on desktop and Fenix.
