Firefox 74.0a1 20200113093823 on Windows 8.1
One Nightly profile won't close the search popup belonging to the search bar after one started a search from it. They eBay search engine is missing and also not recognized as missing in Options > Search.
Steps to reproduce:
- Hit Ctrl + K. Searchbar focused.
- Type something. Search popup opens.
- Press Enter. Page with search results opened.
Expected result: Search popup closed.
Actual result: Search popup remains open.

Standard8 and I talked about this. The eBay behavior is unrelated and the search engine is shown only during the first run after the profile got copied and launched.

Given the ebay issue isnt related, this may be Toolbars? Nothing specifically search related to the popup not closing, will try to figure out why anyway but not abe to reproduce this.
Sebastian are you still able to reproduce, with a clean profile? search popup always closes for me

No, can only reproduce with the profile mentioned in comment 0.

I had the same problem, but clearing/resetting ui.popup.disable_autohide via about:config seemed to fix it.
(I may have set it inadvertently while fiddling around with the config controls in Nightly. Anyway, looks ok now.)
