Current behavior

In Thunderbird, when you trie to display information about the focus UIA object with JAWS, Thunderbird becomes unresponsive and crashes.

Steps to reproduce

Important Note: The following steps must be performed using JAWS.

  1. Start Thunderbird and focus the message list.
  2. Press JAWSKey+Windows+NumPadMinus to Toggle the JAWS scripting utility mode.
  3. Now press CTRL+O to display the UIA object focus item information.

Result

JAWS says "No focus object" and Thunderbird stops responding.

Expected

JAWS should display the UIA object focus item information in the virtual viewer

Yes, still a Problem with 85.0 B2.

I noticed that this problem only occurs when you have a message list with a lot of emails. Currently there are 21036 emails in the inbox.

Unfortunately, this problem still occurs with Thunderbird 98.0 B3.
