It would be nice if there was a way to schedule very low priority tasks when we see prices are low.

Or, as suggested by :catlee, waiting until we have N tasks / hours of work before spinning up instances.

This would make things such as bug 1626630 and bug 1634525 actually reduce costs directly (instead of just reducing end to end time for high priority tasks).
