The front end for the user profile manager is in dire need of some additional features. This isn't so much a bug but a description of stuff that the profile manager just can't do, and it's very problematic for me. These features seem very basic--they should be pretty easy to add. The lacking features are the ability to: (1) Change the directory in which a profile is stored (i.e. move the directory) (2) If a profile cannot be found, allow a search to locate the profile's directory or assign it to a new directory (3) Change the default place to create new profiles. Here's a summary (if you want to read it--otherwise don't) of why this is a serious problem for me: I have two hard drives on my mac. One is very small and I use for the system software (9.1) which it has barely enough room for. The other is larger and it's where I store most of my stuff. Mozilla, by default, when I create or convert a profile, creates it on my system partition. I don't have enough space for this...so I try to move the directory. But then mozilla can't find it. Right now I'm not even using mozilla for this reason...I can't figure out how to get it to work at all.
