Actual results:

on this site with the embedded media it will not activate the player at all (arrow does not show start and now sound of course). this was true with 76. See this site:

Expected results:

should play. checked 3 other browsers all played nicely; not firefox.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

with the lastest up date 77.0b2 (may 6th) this problem has not been fixed.

player on that page working well with Safari and Chrome etc.

I don't see this work in any browser. I notice a 403 warning in the console when I try (trying to access https://s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/wbai.org.archive.audio/). Is that consistent with what you see in Firefox?

I see that site work on Firefox when testing it on Windows and Mac. Do you get any output to the Web Console (Tools -> Developer -> Web Console) when it doesn't play?

Could you navigate to about:support and copy the information from that page onto this bug?

I am finding other media players also problematic. When I open them in Safari they are just fine. Also sometimes there are audio playback issues for a video.

It looks like the request for the media is being blocked due to CORS. If you try and load https://streams.pacifica.org:9000/wbai_128 (the stream the site is trying to play) does it work correctly?

If you start Firefox with a new profile does that have any impact on the issues you're seeing?
