The pref is introduced in Firefox 78 as an escape hatch, in the unlikely event of bug 1613609 introducing a significant regression.

Let's remove that escape hatch in an upcoming cycle (79 or 80).

Given the completely different approach (to start small and cover more stuff gradually, which is bug 1725112), we'll stop using this pref altogether.
I'm removing it in the refactoring that happens in bug 1767581.
