Details

opening a pdf attachment in mail opens it in the mail message pane, not a new 
browser window.

to reproduce:

1) send yourself a .pdf file as an attachment.
2) when you get the mail, when you click on the attachment in the attachment 
pane or right click, open the attachment, it loads in the message page, instead 
of in a new browser window.
