We should add prefs to control the new one-off/tab-to-search behaviour we're adding to the Urlbar in bug 1647886 and bug 1647921.
UX considers these features to be a part of "Urlbar update 2" as opposed to the "megabar" design update, which was update 1. The pref names should reflect that.

We should also decide what to do with update2.expandTextOnFocus, to avoid confusion. I'd be prone to rename it to browser.urlbar.experimental.expandTextOnFocus and hide it. I've seen various cases of people mis-switching it on and then complaining the text was moving.

I verified this issue using 82.0a1 (2020-09-14) on macOS 10.13 and Windows 10 x64.
Adrian could you help me with Ubuntu verification?

Verified on Ubuntu 18.04 64-bit, the update2 prefs are disabled on non-Nightly builds.
