After bug 1621015, the profiler toolbar button has now two parts: clicking the profiler icon will start the profiler, or capture the profile; clicking the down arrow will open the profiler panel. The tooltips should reflect this, and maybe show the keyboard shortcuts to help users learn them. We could also try adding the preset in there, so that the tooltip indicates what will happen when clicking the button, without needing to open the panel to see the details.
