Using version 79? Or 78?
I am using version 79 on a Mac and I do not see this problems.

What do you mean by "return to the that page"?
If i look at the extensions page, I zoom out because it does not fit my screen
I can now see everything on the page.
Close and reopen Thunderbird and the zoom setting has been lost and I have to re-zoom to fit.

This is running on windows 10

Thank you for the more complete steps - quite essential
I cannot reproduce this on Windows 10 with version 68.

Reproducible using 68.10.0 from Ubuntu, 68.10.0 from Thunderbird and 78.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.4 here.
Preferences and Account settings tabs also return to normal size upon reopening them in 78.0. Preferences in 68.10.0.

(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk) from comment #7)
TCW can you reproduce?
Yup, I can repro on 107.0b4.
My STR:
- Open TB and go to Tools > Add-ons and Themes
- On the Add-ons Manager tab that opens, press ctrl - (CTRL plus minus key) a few times to Zoom out the screen (make items on screen smaller)
- Do a File > Exit action or press the Close button at top right (I'm on Windows here) to shut down TB
- Re-launch TB
Expected results:
- On TB re-launch, font size and display items should still remain at the zoomed-out level when TB was closed / shut down
Actual results:
- On TB re-launch, font size and display items reset to default 100% zoom level
