Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0
Steps to reproduce:
From the privacy perspective it would be great to separate the history for each container, so that history from one doesn't bleed over into the auto-complete of a session in another container. This would be a great privacy feature that could be optional
There are many screen sharing scenarios where you don't want your browser history which might contain sensitive information - eg. researching medical conditions - to pop up while you are showing work colleagues some work related content
Expected results:
Ideally users have the option while browsing in a specific container profile of saying they don't want history from that profile co-mingled with the history from browsing activities in other container profiles.
Additional refinements like search history across profiles or expose history from this profile to specific other profiles would be good secondary enhancements
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I'll add this ticket to the Firefox: Bookmarks and History so they can review it.
Regards,
Virginia

This is a very complex task that may require rewriting the whole history system, unlikely to be done any time soon.
Also, please don't set severity and priority when you file bugs, otherwise we may never triage or notice them.
