Steps to reproduce

1. Launch FF with a clean profile
2. Trigger the new Print modal.

Expected result

• The new print preview modal is displayed with all the installed printers available to use.

Actual result

• The new print preview modal is displayed and the Destination drop-down displays no printers to be used

Suggested Severity

• Considering that this is occurring the very first time the user launches FF , as well the fact that the issue stops being present the second time the print preview is being opened, I would consider this issue an S2.

Regression range

• This does not seem like a regression.

Additional notes

• I did not manage to reproduce this issue on Windows platform.
• The issue is no longer present if the user closes the modal and re-opens it
• Managed to reproduce this issue during normal printing sessions(not only first launch)

I managed to reproduce something similar on Ubuntu 18.04.

When triggering the new print modal, and accessing the Destination drop down, the list will be populated after about 5-10 seconds.

Although it doesn't seem like it, this is a dupe of bug 1656062.

(The list of printers and their capabilities comes in asynchronously, and occasionally much more slowly than we'd like, and we're figuring out what to do before they're loaded in that bug. 🙂)

It may be the case for Ubuntu platform, as I specified in comment 1.
But for macOS platform, printers are not displayed at all, until the modal is closed and re-opened again.

I tried reproducing and was unable to see the issue on a mac. Vlad, are you still able to reproduce, or can we close this out?

I tried reproducing this issue on macOS 10.15, macOS 10.14 , Ubuntu 20.04 and Win10x64 with 82.0a1(20200830213209) , 81.0b4(20200829200810) and did not manage to reproduce this anymore.
