Details

It'd be nice if Mozilla allowed saving the username only, not the password. Now it asks for "Do you want to save this username/password combination", but I think it should allow saving only the username. That way I could at least save some typing, while not loosing security. It would probably just be some UI issue, because it could simply save an empty password (or better -- a special string that tells that its not supposed to be saved)
The Password Manager has the ability to be password protected itself, for that layer of security. Not that I'm disagreeing with the suggestion. Basically, you're asking that Form Manager handle the page instead of Password Manager.
Good point -- well then let me rephrase: I'd like to have the option to let the form manager save (parts) of the form :-)
I thought about that suggestion many times. Like in home banking you might want to save the account number, but not the password. If this is done by the password or the form manager should be decided by those who might code it. pi
