User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:80.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/80.0
Steps to reproduce:
updated from version 79.0.x to version 80.0 and version 80.0.1
this bug only affects macOS, not windows 10
Actual results:
moving mouse over context menu on submenu items only in bookmarks toolbar subfolder causes the blue swipe to appear/disappear (the blue swipe disappears as soon as the mouse no longer moves).
Expected results:
the item selection blue swipe should remain visible during mouse movements and not disappear as soon as the mouse is no longer moving.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to submit this bug report. I've tested Nightly 82.0a1 (20200910093613), Beta 81.0b8 (20200908191057), and Release 80.0.1 (20200831163820) on MacOS 10.14 and Windows 10 x64bit and managed to reproduce the issue on all the versions on Mac. To be noted, sometimes the blue hover was not disappearing, but it had a slight glitch.
I'm assigning a component so our developers can take a look. If the designated component is not suitable, please feel free to change it.

Tried to find a regression range and it seems the issue may be older than Nightly 59.0a1 (20180102220230), since the blue hover disappears when the right click submenu is first made on a Bookmark folder context menu, then the hover is visible until the context menu is closed and the steps are made again.

This bug seems to extend to right-clicking on links as well, although it happens only intermittently. When the problem shows up, right-clicking a link then moving the cursor over 'Open Link in New Tab' can open one or more new tabs without releasing the mouse button.
Just prior to recording this the problem was worse. The first few seconds of the screen recording show the problem clearly though.

Hi all
The problem seems to have been resolved since yesterday, after updating to Firefox 87.0
I recall that I encountered this problem since Firefox 80.0, regardless of the version of macOS, (10.14.6 to 11.2.3 ).
Thanks to the whole Firefox team for their excellent work.
