Details

In creating a new Mozilla profile, the Profile Manager will automatically apply settings (e.g., user.js, prefs.js, chrome settings, etc.) found in ./defaults/profile/<locale> to the new profile. In many situations, it will also be important to pass these settings on to a Mozilla profile created from a Netscape migration (i.e., mozilla -installer). Currently, however Mozilla v1.1 does not apply all the settings from this location to a migrated profile ... for instance, the userChrome.css is applied, but the USER.JS is not.

This bug is filed in a bugzilla component related to pre-Firefox code which no longer exists. I believe it is no longer relevant and I am therefore closing it INCOMPLETE. If you believe that this bug is still valid and needs to be fixed, please reopen it and move it to the Toolkit:Startup and Profile System product/component.
