Details
After upgrading from an older 0.9.x version, I found that there was no longer a
"Ask me before loading an image" option in the Prefs->Privacy->Images dialog.
How odd. Mozilla still respects all of my old permission settings from my older
version, but I can no longer create new settings, unless I edit the text file by
hand.
I'm filing this as a bug, because no one seems to know anything about it, there
seems to be no mention of an intention to change functionality, I can think of
no reason why a dev would *remove* this functionality, as useful as it is, and
I've been told it still works on windows versions of 1.1
I originally found this on the major i386/Linux 12002.1 release, but it's still
there on the latest linux nightly (2002090608).

This is temporary removed because it caused some crashers. See bug 110112 and
bug 146513 ...
