User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/86.0.4240.111 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

If I want to promote my TB add-on on my website and invite users to install the add-on, the UX is not satisfying and a bit complex...
You need to explain users how to download the XPI and drop it on Thunderbird, or search for the add-on in the store.
A link from my web site opening the add-on page in Thunderbird would make it more easy.

Expected results:

Register a custom URI scheme for thunderbird (tbird://... for instance).
That would allow to open TB from the browser and open the URI in TB and not in the browser.

I don't think this is something we'd do.
