Steps to reproduce:

In version 81.0 I set the button-layout using dconf-editor to minimize,maximize,close:
on the left of the window.

Actual results:

Since updating to 82.0 the order has changed to close, minimize,maximize

Expected results:

Should display as minimize,maximize,close

Do you run a Firefox version provided by Ubuntu, or is this a Firefox version that you installed from Mozilla servers? Does that also happen with a default theme?

Firefox 82 is the ONLY application that has the problem. Thunderbird is OK. When Ubuntu was installed it came with Ver 81 then last month there was an update, that was when I noticed the problem. If I change the theme back to Yaru is is still leaves the close button at the edge.

Version 81.0 came with Ubuntu 20.04 and was updated automatically on or about 21Oct20. Is there a way of checking where the update was downloaded from?. I did not download from Mozilla servers or the internet. Here are the details from the about info
82.0 (64-bit)
Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu
canonical - 1.0

Just to add. The apps that appear correctly Thunderbird, LibreOffice, Text Editor, Ubuntu Software, Settings, Software Updater, dconf-Editor, Tweaks, Backups, Disks.

Ian, could you please verify whether you reproduce this issue if you download and install Firefox from:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Created a new profile and still the same order 'close, minimize,maximize'
Back on the original profile I have noticed when I open About Mozilla Firefox the buttons appear in the selected order 'minimize,maximize,close'

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.
