[Affected platforms]:
Platforms: Windows 8.1 and Windows 7

[Preconditions]:
Have WebRender enabled in about:support
Reach about:config and set gfx.webrender.all - true

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Launch the Firefox browser.
  2. Reach http://bad.diesel.com/
  3. Grab the middle of the page and drag it left and right.

Expected Result:
Scrolling through the page should be smooth.

Actual Results:
The images from the page are shaking when the page is moved around and some of the text has a flickering underline.

Please note that this issue is a lot more noticeable on Windows 8.1 with AMD RADEON HD 6670 as well as on Windows 7 with Intel HD 4600.

The issue was tested on Windows 7 with AMD RX 550 as well as on Windows 10 with Nvidia and we could not see any differences between WebRender ON or OFF.

I Tried to capture a screen recording of this issue but the low framerate will not show the actual issue.

I think the severity for this issue should be an S3.

Severity: -- → S3

Operating system: Ubuntu Hirsute Hippo
Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 93.0a1 (2021-08-24)

Compared to Microsoft Edge (Dev) on Linux, the only issues that I saw were some stuttering — Edge stuttered too, but noticeably less than Firefox, though the stuttering in Firefox wasn't severe — and a fair bit of aliasing.

In the recording, you can see that there is aliasing when looking at the frames of buttons like the “Open” buttons, as well as the exact positions of the lines of text being somehow aliased — they move a bit vertically in such a way that they look almost in line with the aliasing of the surrounding elements: http://mellemws.my.to/direct/Screencast_from_2021%25E5%25B9%25B408%25E6%259C%258825%25E6%2597%25A5_03%25E6%2599%258252%25E5%2588%258636%25E7%25A7%2592.webm

Note:
The only reason why I am saying that this is aliasing is because this looks like a milder version of the aliasing present in CATIA. Also, the shadow of the Discover the Fragrance 3D model looks aliased in both Firefox and Edge: http://mellemws.my.to/direct/Screencast_from_2021%25E5%25B9%25B408%25E6%259C%258825%25E6%2597%25A5_04%25E6%2599%258215%25E5%2588%258643%25E7%25A7%2592.webm
