Make sure WebRender is enabled in about:support under Graphics
If it is not enabled by default, go to about:config and set gfx.webrender.all to true

[Steps To Reproduce]
- Open Browser
- Navigate to: https://bug1442915.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8955810
- Hover cursor over the grey flip-box
- Check the clearness of the text
[Expected Results]
The text should be clear
[Actual Results]
The text is a bit blurry when WebRender is on

Any chance this is related to those font issues you were looking at?

Andrew, this seems somewhat like a potential snapping issue? If you look at the "ON" text, it shows that the bottom is for some reason being clipped, and given the extra linear filtering applied, it would seem like the lookup into the glyph texture is offset by a fractional offset from what is actually expected.
