Steps to reproduce
- Enable gfx.webrender.software.
- Log into https://people.mozilla.org/
- Load the Mozilla Phonebook tree view: https://people.mozilla.org/o/highlight/
- Scroll down the page. I'm using a scroll gesture on my Windows laptop's touchpad.
Expected result
The page should scroll smoothly like hardware-accelerated WebRender and Chrome do.
Actual result
Scrolling with sw-wr is very laggy. The scrollbar thumb moves in fits and starts. The page checkerboards.
Many pages feel less responsive when I have sw-wr enabled on my Windows laptop, but the Mozilla Phonebook tree view page is much worse than others.
