Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0

Steps to reproduce:

I detached or deleted attachments from emails

Actual results:

the icon in the message list (paper clip), indicating that there is an attachment does not change after having detached or deleted an attachment

Expected results:

I would find it very useful if the icon would change, for example a paper-clip with an overlaid diagonal line to show that the attachment has been deleted (or at least one of the attachments, if there are several attachments, or in black if all have been deleted, in grey if one of several), and perhaps a coloured paper-clip when all attachments have been detached (and half black and half coloured when one of several has been detached). This would also allow to sort by detached or not. I would find this useful for sorting emails and working with attachments.
This is similar to bug305485 but which is only about deleting, not detaching.

AttachmentCount, soon on ATN, may help.

@alta88 sound great, what are the icons for detached ? Would I be able to find in the inbox all messages that still contain attachments (so neither deleted nor detached) ? Could you put an image with all the icons on your webpage ? Actually you are giving probably much more information that I actually require ;-)
