User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 AFAIK Mozilla only saves bookmarks once the window is closed (either by the user or by Mozilla exiting). While this minimise disk writes which can be extensive with a large bookmark file (see bug 101319) it is very frustrating to find and bookmark a site, and then have Mozilla crash and then have lost your newly-added bookmark. There should be an option entitled "Always save bookmark file straight after modification" or "Save bookmarks every X minutes" etc. Bugs like 101319 do present a different view, but I would doubt that storing profiles (and therefore bookmarks) via a slow NFS link *and* having a large bookmark file is a very common situation. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a bookmark. 2. Cause Mozilla to crash or kill -9 it :-) 3. Reload Mozilla. 4. Bookmarks added before crash will not appear. Actual Results: Added bookmarks did not appear. Expected Results: Bookmarks should remain, and every effort should be taken to ensure the user doesn't lose their bookmarks!
