Hi there!
I currently have extremely little diskspace left on my machine (new disk is
lying close to the computer, but I don't find the time to plug it in) so I often
run into "no space left on device..." condition for my homedir. Last time I had
Mozilla Mail open and just closed Mozilla completely. - Then I removed some stuff
and when I restarted Mozilla, all of my filters were lost.
I guess this is a more "global" problem for Mozilla. - I'd love to have it
fixed, in my conditions, this is extremely annoying!

What do you mean, you "removed some stuff"? Were you removing files from disk,
and happened to remove the rules.dat file?

I removed some files completely unrelated to mozilla (i.e. old kernel sources),
to have the system up and running again.
