Affected Versions:
Nightly 89.0a1
apz.overscroll.enabled true
Tested On:
MacOS 10.15
Steps to Reproduce:
- Go to youtube.com and click on any video
- Toggle fullscreen for that video
- Swipe up while the video is played back
Expected Results:
Although Youtube has the functionality to scroll down to view the comments while the video is in fullscreen, the overscroll effect should not happen.
Actual Result:
The rubberbanding animation is displayed at the top of the video.
Please see attached recording for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TWN5cth5p94MvHt-qL_u61DK6f9Ap-WF/view?usp=sharing
Not reproducible on Chrome.
Safari does not inherit youtube's functionality to scroll down to the comments section while the video is in fullscreen.

It seems Chrome doesn't overscroll on fullscreen, Safari does overscroll.

Seems like something fixed this issue, could not reproduce this anymore on the latest Firefox Beta 89.bb7. Closing this as resolved:worksfme.

This seems to have regressed, can reproduce it again on the latest Firefox Nightly 90.0a1. Might be due to the fix of Bug 1704080.
Hi, FYI: The Overscroll effect does not appear, when full-screen-api.macos-native-full-screen is enabled in about://config. Not sure, but maybe this feature will enabled in the future for macOS, so then this issue will at least fixed on macOS :)
(BTW: From a macOS users view: I don't find the overscroll effect distracting, when a video is in fullscreen.)

Note that we are backing out bug 1704080 (with the backout happening in bug 1712874), so the regression will soon disappear.
We will keep this in mind before we consider re-landing bug 1704080.
