User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:88.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/88.0
Steps to reproduce:
I went to duckduckgo.com, wrote the name of my city, and clicked on maps and clicked on the satellite option,
Actual results:
The computer monitor lost the video and was giving the message that it was not receiving video. Computer led on but Windows off. I had to force the computer to shut down. I repeated the experiment and the same happened in Firefox. In Internet Explorer there is no such problem.
Expected results:
This should show the satellite map normally.
Hi Marcone,
Thanks for reporting this bug. I tried reproducing it on the following Firefox versions in Windows 10:
- Release 88.0
- Beta 89.0b7 (32-bit)
- Nightly 90.0a1 (2021-05-03) (64-bit)
I also enabled location services to DuckDuckGo and navigated the map in Satellite version but I didn't see any glitches nor errors.
We'd need to gather more information about this issue, could you please try the following?
- Download the latest version of Firefox Nightly and try to reproduce the issue there. You can download it here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
- Do you get any message from Firefox after you restart the computer? Does Firefox crash? if yes, can you please send us a crash report? You can find the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter
- Can you try reproducing it using a new profile? follow this instructions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager
- You can also try testing if the issue is reproducible in safe mode, here is a link that can help you:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Please write us back with your feedback so we can continue investigating.
Thanks in advance,
Virginia

The same problem happens with Firefox Nightly. I noticed that the problem occurs immediately when the map starts to load. Firefox doesn't crash. Firefox does not display any crash messages after the computer is restarted, it just restores the session. The problem does not occur when I try to access the map by starting the computer in safe mode. When I try to access the map with the computer in safe mode, Firefox accesses normally.
My computer configurations:
OS: Windows 8.1 x64
Processor: Core 2 Quad Q9500
Motherboard: ECS G41T-M7 v1.0 Bios: 080015 02/09/2011
RAM: MVD34096MLD-13
GPU: Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset
SSD: WDS100T2G0A
There is no card or peripheral connected to my computer.
Thank you.

Marcone, I see the same behaviour on Firefox ESR (78). Can you also confirm that you see the problem there?

OP's using driver version 8.15.10.2413 (aka 15.17.17.64.2413).
That's more than a year older than the latest one available.
