Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable ETP Standard (or Strict) mode.
  2. Go to "Video Portal" and then login: https://frontenddeveloperlove.com/account/login/?next=%2Fvideo
  3. Select "or sign-in with email"
  4. Click on the log in link in the email received

Expected result

The page should navigate to the video page.

Actual result

The video page with a "skeleton" video player loader comes up, but before the actual player gets injected, we get redirected back to the login page.

The site works with uBlock Origin and/or Privacy Badger switched on.

I checked the network panel with ETP on and off using the link I got, and the only difference I see is that the GET request to https://api.jsworldconference.com/.netlify/functions/user-info came back as 401 unauthorised, but I couldn't find out why.

They're using third party cookies on api.jsworldconference.com, so they'd need to request storage access for it on signup. We can probably shim this.

I cannot reproduce this issue. Maybe this is fixed?

Johann, can you confirm this?
