Many video hosting platforms don't specify the resolution and framerate of videos they have and this information could really help assess the quality and allow the user to make an informed decision whether to continue watching it or find better sources.

I think this could be something similar with Bug 1318541 although I am not particularly sure if that included FPS and resolution stats. However, please be aware that some of the common video hosting sites have advanced settings that do allow the user to view stats, so please check it out and enable it given it is not enabled by default.
