Additional notes

  • The issue can be seen in the following attachment
  • The prompt appeared only once the first time and after that never appeared on macOS 10.15 and 11.5 (even by ejecting the disk, and re-mounting it, or with another Firefox image disk).
Has STR: --- → yes

On macOS 12 beta 6 this is a known issue due to bug 1727624.
On macOS 10.15 and 11.5 this is unexpected.

However, this bug is not a blocker because launching from the Terminal is not a use case that the target audience for this feature will encounter.

Now that bug 1696504 has landed, is this fixed for you, Catalin?

As per comment 2, if this is not working now I think this is wontfix.

Hey Jonathan, just looked over macOS 11.6.1 with Firefox 95.0b12 and it seems to be asking to install Firefox within the terminal. Seems to be fixed. Closing this as WFM.
