STR:

  1. Start with unset MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND on Ubuntu 21.04.
  2. Select a single word on any website (eg wikipedia.org) and drag it around the page for a short while.
  3. Repeat until dragging stops working.

Does not happen with Wayland.

Regressed by Bug 1731737.

I'm unable to reproduce on Fedora 34. Can you please attach log of drag session? Run with MOZ_LOG="WidgetDrag:5" env variable.
Thanks.

KEstrel, can you please check if try from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1735348#c9 fixes it for you?
Thanks.
