Sure! You'll need to add the new line to AppxManifest.xml. Testing in advance is tricky; I can try to write up some testing details next week. I'll leave NI to me as a reminder.
I would be glad if I can get some insight on how to approach this issue or where I can get some details about it?

Verified that the .avif can be opened as expected using Open with option with Firefox 96.0a1 MSIX (20211111045525) and 95.0b6 MSIX (20211110185745) on Windows 10x64 and Windows 11x64. If other testing scenarios are needed please let me know. Thank you!
