If I reply to a message and keep some of the text of the message I received in the form of quotes (i.e., normal operation) I now cannot add text in between the quoted text. Before the days when the quoted text was marked by the fancy colored bar at the right even in the compose window I could simply insert empty lines and start writing. Now this isn't possible anymore. The new lines I add by hitting return after placing the cursor at the end of a quoted line are also quoted. This might be consistent with the way these braindead M$ office users reply but it is wrong. Comments must follow directly the quotes in the mail they refer to. Everything else is unpolite. I just started using the current sources again (20021012 shows the problem) and this problem really makes me want to go back to the version I was using before despite not having Xft support.
