Save as in Composer does not save characters correctly

Details
When I type some characters in Editor and save the file, the file you saved
does not contain the right characters.
Steps of reproduce
1. Open Editor
2. Type aaa in the Editor
3. Select menu File|Save as to save the file as HTML file
After I open the file in the different editor, the file is
<html><head>x:È`<title></title>
</head>
<body>x:È`</body></html>
The characters I typed are not saved correctly.
Tested 10-28-08 Win32, Linux, and 10-28-10 Mac build.
